cold calling

I think cold calling has a lot of similarities to cold showers:
- I hate doing them
- I need to pump myself up before doing it
- I question why the hell I’m even subjecting myself to it
- I do it first thing in the morning
But the benefits are also similar:
- I start my day doing something tough (the rest of the day is easy in comparison)
- I feel accomplished and motivated to keep up my good habits
- I feel alive and refreshed after (from the spiked cortisol, followed by the fall)
Cold calling is subjecting yourself to discomfort and rejection, every single day.
If you can do it, there isn’t much else in the day that’s going to bother you.
And notice I didn’t say whether you’re good at cold calling - just doing it is enough to get the benefits.
